MINDFULNESS & GRIEF

Grief is a natural reaction to loss (e.g. death of a loved one, loss of a job, changes in identity). Although grief may be a natural reaction, it can be difficult to navigate both personally and professionally. The experience of grief is unique to each person and the loss they’ve had. This workshop introduces mindfulness as a pathway through grief. Mindfulness is the act of paying attention on purpose in a specific way. This workshop will combine current grief and mindfulness research to bring new tools and strategies to the practitioner’s toolkit. The information introduced in this workshop will be explored through experiential practices, reflection, and discussion.

Learning outcomes include:  

  • How mindfulness is used to support the experience of grief.

  • A deeper understanding of mindfulness.

  • Ways to incorporate mindfulness into personal and professional life.

MINDFULNESS & EATING

Have you tried almost every diet under the sun? I have! It has taken me years to make peace with my body and my food choices. The shift began when I learned about intuitive eating and began applying mindfulness to my food, exercise, and body image. If you are ready to leave the world of dieting behind, I would love to work with you in this 6-week course. 

This course introduces mindfulness as a way to approach your physical health. Mindfulness is the act of paying attention on purpose in a specific way. This course will include current wellness and behavior change research. You will be able to use this knowledge to better support your overall health and wellbeing. The information introduced in this course will be explored through experiential practices, reflection, and discussion.

  • How mindfulness can be used to support health and wellbeing.

  • A deeper understanding of mindfulness.

  • Ways to incorporate mindfulness into your daily choices.

  • Techniques and strategies to better support the changes you’d like to make.
